Definition of human rights.
Human rights can be defined as those basic standards that people can not, without, to live with dignity
As human beings. Human rights are the foundation of freedom, justice and peace, adding that the respect for human rights that allows the individual and the community to fully develop its roots and development of human rights in the struggle for freedom and equality everywhere in the world. The basis upon which human rights such as respect for human life and dignity, in most religions and philosophies.

- Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
December 10 / December 1948, the General Assembly adopted the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights the full text of the Declaration on the following pages. After this historic event, the General Assembly requested all Member countries to invite the text of the Declaration and "to work on, published and distributed, and read and explained, particularly in schools and other educational institutions, without distinction of any kind because of the political status of countries or territories."
Whereas recognition of the inherent dignity of all members of the human family and the equal and inalienable rights is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world. Whereas disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in barbarous acts which have outraged the conscience of mankind, and the advent of the general emergence of human beings a world where freedom of speech and belief and freedom from fear and want. Whereas it is essential that the protection of human rights law not to be compelled as a last resort, to rebellion against tyranny and injustice. Whereas the peoples of the United Nations have in the Charter reaffirmed their faith in fundamental human rights and the dignity and worth of men and women of equal rights and have determined to promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom. Whereas Member States have pledged to cooperate with the United Nations to ensure the steady observance of human rights and fundamental freedoms and respect. Whereas a common understanding of these rights and freedoms of great importance for the full realization of this pledge. The General Assembly proclaims this Universal Declaration of Human Rights as a common standard should be achievement for all peoples and nations to the end that every individual and every organ of society, keeping this Declaration constantly in mind, to promote respect for these rights and freedoms through education, education, and by progressive measures, national and international, to secure recognition and observance, both universal and effective between the Member States themselves and the peoples of territories under their jurisdiction.

Characteristics of Human Rights
Human rights is not bought, earned or inherited, they belong to people simply because they are human .. Human rights are "inherent" in every individual.
Human rights and the same for all human beings regardless of race, sex, religion or political opinion, or any other opinion, national or social origin. The We are all born free and equal in dignity and rights .. Human rights are "universal."
Human rights can not be taken away; no one has the right to deprive other people of human rights even if not recognized by the laws of his country, or when they violate those laws .. Human rights are fixed "and are inalienable."
To all people to live in dignity, it is entitled to enjoy freedom and security, and decent standards of living .. Human rights are "indivisible."

- Categories of rights:
Rights can be classified into three categories:
1 - civil and political rights (also called "first generation rights"), which are linked to civil liberties, including the following rights: the right to life, liberty and security; and freedom from torture and freedom from slavery; political participation and freedom of opinion and expression, thought, conscience and religion; and freedom of association and assembly.
2 - Economic and social rights (also called "second generation rights"), a security-related and include: employment, education and a decent standard of living;, food, shelter and health care.
3 - cultural and environmental rights and development (also called "third generation" rights), including the right to live in a clean environment and protected from destruction; and the right to cultural development and political and economic development.
When we say that each person has human rights, we say, well, that each person has responsibilities to respect the human rights of others.


- Legal status
Although the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that inspired most of the international law of human rights, it does not in itself represent a document with the force of law. But this declaration, in his capacity as a public declaration of principles, a major force among the world public opinion. Has been translated principles of the Declaration on the principles of its legal force in the form of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. Governments have been committed which have ratified the two Covenants in their countries to enact laws to protect those rights. Is that more than half the countries in the world have not ratified the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights or the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
There are also regional instruments on Human Rights, an instrument recommended by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, including the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights, the European Convention of Human Rights, American Convention on Human Rights, and there are a lot of blogs national legal guarantees of human rights.
